Hello. I am currently studying History at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. I have always known about this dreadful disease called Malaria, but after reading the Malaria article by Michael Finkel in the July 2007 National Geographic magazine, it immediately hit me. Malaria is deadly. Nearly half a billion people get malaria each year. More than a million die. This is the reason why I am doing this with friends and fellow University students. In order to help sponsor and raise money towards buying long lasting insecticidal nets over the beds of African children. We, as University students, would like to help out these children who are at dangerous risks of getting this deadly disease called Malaria.
