Beantown Beatdown of the 'Squiter

    Dear -----

The Winners!

The Malaria Cup goes to Beantown Beatdown of the 'Squiter, made up of members of the Boston University School of Public Health Rotaract Club, who managed to negotiate the qualifying stage, all knock-out rounds and win the Mad Bowl!

The Malaria Prize goes to Team USA for being the team to raise the most nets: a fantastic 2,858 nets whic will protect 5,700 children when they sleep at night and save the lives of 140 of them.

You can see details here of the knock-out rounds and the full knock-out grid.

The real winners of course are those who will be protected by the
18,000+ LLINs we can buy with the $90,000+ raised.

Distributing the nets

We aim to have the 18,000+ nets over heads and beds in the next 3 months. We are finalising distribution programmes now. We will add details to the site shortly. You will be able to follow prgress from factory to delivery, with pictures and video of the distributions added to the site in due course.

Madness Against Malaria 2008 - Mad Bowl II

We have had great feedback and will be running Madness Against Malaria again next year. But you don't have to wait until then! You can register a new team to take part in Madness Against Malaria 2008 - Mad Bowl II and get a head start on the competition. We will shortly be updating the website to reflect this and any team registering now will be added to Madness 2008. You may want to do this now to take advantage of Malaria Awareness Day on 25th April!

Finally, thank you ALL for taking part: the nets you have helped buy will save many lives.

Regards

Lance, Rob
