Our approach
 |
A long lasting insecticidal (mosquito) net (LLIN) costs US$5
|
-
We only buy LLINs.
-
An LLIN is a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide. The insecticide lasts for 4-5 years. Hence 'long lasting'.
-
LLINs work in 2 ways: a mechanical barrier against malaria-carrying mosquitoes that bite at night; they kill mosquitoes on contact
-
The average cost of an LLIN across all 1,222,937 purchased to date: US$ 4.334

None of your money goes on
admin, salaries, expenses etc. Just nets...
|
-
We can do this because we have very few costs and those that do exist are covered by a group of private donors.
-
Many companies have offered their services for free. This includes lawyers, accountants,
printers, bankers, advertising agencies, film makers, professional translators,
web technologists and graphic designers amongst others. A full list can be found
on the People to Thank page.
-
We are completely transparent with funds raised.
You know where your money is going.
|
 |
...AND we ensure the nets are put over heads and beds
|
-
Our distribution partners pay all distribution and education costs.
-
Given 100% of funds buy nets at US$5 each, this means every US$100 we raise equals 20 nets in place and saves the life of one child. This ensures maximum efficiency of the funds you raise and donate.
|
 |
...AND we show you where all the nets go, distribution by distribution, with pictures
|
-
Pictures of each distribution
let you see what happened.
